Published Jan 25, 2013Rootsy Vancouver rockers the Matinée are preparing to release their debut full-length, We Swore We'd See the Sunrise, on February 26 through Light Organ Records. Once it's out, the band will go about promoting it with a Canadian tour.
The outing kicks off on the Pacific coast in early March. From there, the Matinée will spend the rest of the month travelling across the country and playing shows before wrapping up on March 30 in Montreal. There are 15 dates in all, most of them with Detroit partiers Electric Six.
Following the Canadian outing, the band will play a pair of U.S. shows in April. See the full schedule below.
We Swore We'd See the Sunrise was largely produced by veteran studio whiz Steve Berlin (R.E.M., the Tragically Hip). The band also recorded a pair of tunes with Hot Hot Heat leader Steve Bays, and these tunes are reportedly more bright and poppy.
